Pressure has to match the material
A deck is the easiest surface on a property to damage and the one most likely to be done wrong. Softwood decking, which is most decks around here, will fur, gouge and splinter under pressure that concrete would not register. Once the grain is raised the board stays rough, and the only fix is sanding or replacement.
We set pressure to the board, not to the clock. Composite, pressure treated pine, cedar, brick paver and stamped concrete each get handled differently.

Pavers and stamped concrete
Pavers have joint sand between them, and aggressive pressure blows it out. Once the joints are empty the pavers shift, and a patio that was level develops a wobble. Stamped and coloured concrete has the colour and sealer in the top layer only, so a wand held too close takes the colour off with the dirt.
Both are cleanable. They just need someone who knows what is under the surface before they start.

Tell us when you book. A deck that is going to be stained needs to be cleaned differently than one that is being left alone, and it needs to dry properly before anything goes on it. Getting the sequence right is most of whether the stain lasts.
